The Desperation of Alexis Grace

Hey, I can't blame Randy. For a while, I got Allison and Alexis confused all the time. It has nothing to do with how they look and what they sing. It's just that their names are similar! We all know Randy isn't the brightest star on the panel. Give him a break, Alexis. Don't look at me like that!

Yikes, she had a death glare.

So then we saw Alexis sing for her life. And it was awful. Heart-wrenching. Too raw and real to laugh at. You could only stare and listen to the producers in the Ivory Towers laughing all maniacally.

MuhahahahahahahahahahahmuuuuuuuuuhahahahahahahahahMUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

SHUT UP!

It was a meltdown of epic proportions. Shaking and cracking and breaking and searching and dripping with desperation, pouring out of her every pore, her soul exposed right before us, something we might have wanted to see before, but not now. Not like that. No, it wasn't supposed to be this way. Alexis will watch this and cringe. We cringed when it was live. She wanted it so bad. She actually believed... that they were talking about her. That they were deliberating and this sing-out really matter.

Note to Idols:

DON'T EVER EVER EVER THINK THAT THE JUDGES ARE BASING THEIR DECISION ON ON YOUR SING-OUT PERFORMANCE. THIS DECISION HAS BEEN PRE-MADE. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HOW YOU'RE SINGING IN THAT MOMENT.

Let's think back. To the Semi-finals. Simon said they were CASTING the show. Remember that? I don't care that he said that because Anoop got in the "Top 13" because he was cast and so what, he can sing, so it's all good. He was cast before those other yokels. Don't even get me started. Anyway, this ain't no singing competition. It's an everything competition. It's how you sing and perform and dress and act. It's who you are and who you could be. Most importantly, it's what you can do for the show and producers. It's about money and ratings. It's about casting.

So everyone is speculating that they will use this save for Adam or Danny. I think that's a distinct possibility. But also, I'm going to put Kris in there if he continues to do well, LiL maybe. The possibilities are slim for the rest. Even my Anoop. They already "saved" him once.

So Idols, when (and it probably will be WHEN-- there's only one winner) you get kicked off the show... let it go. Don't let them suck you into the drama. Mark my words. If Sarver had been voted off instead of Alexis Simon would have said, you were the one I was thinking of saving. DUH!

When you get kicked off, embrace it. Give your fans one last show (until the tour). Think about all the happy memories. Think about the talent you truly have. And just... go for it. Not in a desperate way. Or a horrible way. Or an uncomfortable way. A good way! Just being yourself. No pressure. Don't let them pressure you. They are probably not going to save you. So take yourself out of that moment and sing in a way where people will be going, gosh, Sarver really was good, after all.

I just want to see everyone else go out with dignity. We will see you again. And you have fans who love you, even if you didn't get enough votes. Always know that, Idols, and that'll get you through.

Don't let the show use you like that, Idols. Don't let them. We want you for you. We, the loyal viewers and voters, do not need this extra drama. Don't give in.

At least Alexis can be with her kid now. That should make her happy.
